WEDDING BLISS

Choose your photographer/videographer next.  It may seem early to do this, but because most of them only book one or two jobs a day, you will want to secure the vendor of your choice.  There are many different skill levels for these professionals.  You should make sure that they are able to create the kind of look you desire.

Don’t be fooled by numbers.  Just because they say you get 1000 photos or 10 hours of video coverage doesn’t mean it is all usable.  Out of a 1000 photos, how many of them are actually something you would want in your album?

Ask questions like who will actually

photograph my wedding.  It is very important to have a good relationship with your photographer/videographer.  They will be working with you closely all day.

Remember when the day is done the only thing you will have left is the memories they have captured.  This is no place to skimp on services. Get as much coverage of your wedding day that you can.

Next choose a professional florist.  Your florist will help you set the mood for your wedding day.  Make sure the florist has plenty of experience.  They should be able to create the visions of your dream wedding and make it unique.  From flowers to tables-capes

and mood lighting, it is the florist who can coordinate all of this to create a spectacular event.

Decide on who will do your cake.  Look for someone who can produce a variety of looks.  Combine favorite elements of different cake styles, to create a unique cake for your wedding.

No one wants a cake that looks like everyone else’s.  Many times the cake on display at a wedding is not real, except for the section that you cut into.  Doing this allows the cake decorator more creativity to make something special.  It is also sturdier, nothing is worse than worrying about a leaning cake.

Get a limousine.  Arriving in style on your wedding day is a must.  Keeping the wedding party together in the limousine ensures that the whole wedding party will arrive at the same time.  And don’t forget about the priceless memories of the party inside the limo.  Choose a reputable company with multiple cars, just in case you need a backup plan.

Pick your entertainment.  Whether it is a band, or DJ, make sure you secure enough time to cover the reception from beginning to end.

Have a list of your favorite songs, with choices for entrance into venue, and bridal dance.  Ask to view their performance at another wedding to see how guests react.  View their stage lighting and listen to the quality of their equipment.

Pick an invitation that sets the style of your wedding.  Whether formal or casual, the invitation will let your guest know what to expect on your wedding day, and how to dress accordingly.  If you are planning a long engagement, consider sending a save the date card or engagement announcement.  It gives your guests advanced notice of your wedding.  And is very helpful for out of town guests who plan on attending.

Start dress shopping.  Most dresses take 8—10 weeks to order.  You will have at least two fittings, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time.  If you are planning on having a custom made dress it will take longer.

Coordinating your bridesmaid dresses can be a challenging task.  Every girl wants the style and color of dress that looks best on their body. Just remember you are the bride and what you want is all that matters.  As your bridesmaids, they should know to respect your choices and abide by your wishes.

Plan your honeymoon at least four months in advance.  Waiting for last minute deals is not a good choice when you have all the pressures of planning a wedding.

Do let the people you are booking your plans with know that it is your honeymoon.  Many times honeymoon couples will get extra perks.  Pay for all your expenses in advance, you don’t want to be thinking about finances when you’re on your honeymoon vacation.

Following these simple steps should help you to organize your wedding plans.  Remember organization is key to planning a successful wedding.  The more your keep calm and cool, the more you will enjoy the process.
