LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS IDEAS

It always seems like no matter how much you try to prepare for Christmas, there are always just a few more gifts you need at the last minute.  Not to worry, here is your guide to those last minute Christmas ideas.

1. Candles

These are great last minute items to pick up for gifts.  Just remember some simple rules before you purchase:

• Don’t buy unscented candles.  You don’t want to give the receiver the impressing you are stocking them up for their disaster kit.
• Don’t buy candles that have a Christmas theme, it will be over the next day.
• Do, buy candles that have decorative holders so they can be re-used after the candle is gone.

Think about purchasing flame-less candles.  They come in a variety of styles and make great lasting gifts.

2. Gloves & Scarfs

It seems that every year I loose a glove or scarf.  It’s nice to receive new ones, just when the weather is starting to chill.

Choose scarfs with lots of color for a bright   impression.

Give the “new” glove type, fingerless, so you can text.

3. Flash Drives

These little gems are always in demand.  Flash drives come in a variety of colors and styles.  From bedazzled to wood carved, you can’t go wrong giving these as gifts.

4. Chocolates

Who doesn’t like chocolate?  It’s great to have around the house during the holidays, when guests are stopping by.  Just remember this is a gift.  So buy the expensive, fancy kind.

5. Wine & Liquor

These items are always well received.  Whether it’s wine, liquor, or beer, just remember that it should be something that is special.  Some people may not always spend $20.00—$40.00 on a bottle of wine, but it’s nice to receive one as a gift.

6. Gift Cards & Certificates

This is a subject that is often up for debate.  My view is it’s still a gift.  I spent time going to the store.  I had no idea what you would want.  I bought you a gift card.  Now, you have the choice of receiving exactly what you would like.  I can almost bet you will be smiling when you leave the store.

Now that you have purchased your last minute gifts, it’s time to bring out the wrapping paper and bows.  Yes, contrary to what some may believe, wrapping of gifts is the most important thing of all.  No matter how much of a time crunch you are in, you must wrap the gift.

The whole excitement of receiving a Christmas gift is the anticipation of unwrapping it, to expose what is inside. Whether it’s a gift card or a bottle of wine it must be presented in beautiful wrappings and bows.

Don’t just throw the gift in a bag with a stick on bow.  Use quality papers, and bags, and adorn them with a big hand made bow.  Just because it was last minute, doesn’t mean it has to look like it.
